Beth Borowski

Beth is currently Manager, Facilities & Support Services at The CNA Corporation in Alexandria, Virginia. She has devoted over 20 years to the facilities management profession and earned her CFM in 2002. Beth has enjoyed being a Capital Chapter member for the past 10 years and active on the Executive Committee for the past 3. She recently served two terms as Chapter Vice President, Finance.

Kim Dize

Kim is the VP of Business Development for Herndon, VA based KTA Group, Inc., a leading mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineering design firm. Kim has been working in the facilities management and real estate field since 1988 and has been an IFMA member for over eight years. In addition to serving on various committees, Kim served on the Executive Board as the 2005-2006 CCIFMA Vice President of Programs/Special Events/Professional Development and now serves as the Vice President of Sponsorship/Community Service.

Sue Hedges
Sue Hedges, CPC, Vice President, Membership Email Sue

Sue is an Account Manager with Commercial Carpets of America. CCA sells and installs a wide range of flooring products for commercial use. CCA has been in the flooring business for over 35 years and has its headquarters in Alexandria, VA. Sue joined IFMA in 2002 and has been an active member since then. She has recently served on the Executive Board as Vice President. She served with the Membership Services Committee as Co-Chair for two years. During this time the Capital Chapter has grown in membership to 850 members!

John Mackay
John Mackay, CFM, Vice President, Finance & Administration Email John
John is a Senior Consultant with MacKnight Associates, a facility management consulting firm in Arlington, Virginia. He spent seven years as a manager in the corporate facilities department of Gannett and has over 20 years of analytical and operations experience with area firms America Online, USA TODAY, and Perpetual Real Estate Services. John joined IFMA in 2000 and has served as the Programs Chair and as the VP of Professional Development for the Capital Chapter. John earned his Professional Certificate in Facility Management from George Mason University in 2004 and his CFM in 2005. He is now an instructor in the GMU program and for IFMA's "The Business of FM" course.

Frank Ringel, CFM, Vice President, Events Email Frank
Frank is the Manager of Facilities Operations at The MITRE Corporation in McLean, Virginia. He has over 20 years of experience in facilities and security management. He was previously Co-Chair of the Membership Committee for the Capital Chapter and is currently VP for Programs, Professional Development and Special Events. He earned his CFM in 2006 and has been a member of IFMA since 1999.

Rick Conn

Rick has amassed over 30 years of experience in the facility management, real estate and project management fields with firms like: Fannie Mae, Discovery Communications, Inc.; Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P.; the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD) and MCI. Rick has been an IFMA member since 1988 and maintained his CFM since 1995. Rick just completed his second successful stint as Capital Chapter President, having served previously in 1999, when our chapter won IFMA’s Large Chapter of the Year Award.

Capital Chapter Committees

Communications
The mission of the Communications Committee is to provide forums for chapter members to share best practices, ask questions and receive valuable information. This is done through the chapter web site, print newsletter, and local publications.

Community Service
The mission of the Community Service Committee is to develop relationships with organizations in the local area who could benefit from the assistance of the Capital Chapter. This assistance comes in the form of fundraisers, scholarships and special events to raise awareness and get local facility managers more involved in the community.

Membership Services
The mission of the Membership Services Committee is to grow and retain Chapter membership through active member prospecting, and by providing and publicizing Member services and benefits tailored to our Member's needs.

Past-Presidents
The mission of the Past-Presidents Committee is to increase the involvement of professional, specialty-facility, and government-services FMs in Chapter activities.

Professional Development
The mission of the Professional Development Committee is to ensure that there is a population of competent, certified (or preparing to be certified) facility managers to meet existing and future facility management needs in the area represented by the Chapter.

Programs
The mission of Programs Committee is to provide FM educational and networking opportunities for Chapter members. Valuable educational events for Professional members are at the heart of our programs and will be provided a minimum of six times a year.

The mission of the Special Events Committee is to provide unique networking and social opportunities for Chapter members. Special events include the annual Fundraiser, Golf Outings and Chapter Awards Banquet. These events offer FMs the opportunity to network with peers in a relaxed environment.
