Capital Chapter Committees
Communications
The mission of the Communications Committee is to provide forums for chapter members to share best practices, ask questions and receive valuable information. This is done through the chapter web site, print newsletter, and local publications.
Community Service
The mission of the Community Service Committee is to develop relationships with organizations in the local area who could benefit from the assistance of the Capital Chapter. This assistance comes in the form of fundraisers, scholarships and special events to raise awareness and get local facility managers more involved in the community.
Membership Services
The mission of the Membership Services Committee is to grow and retain Chapter membership through active member prospecting, and by providing and publicizing Member services and benefits tailored to our Member's needs.
Past-Presidents
The mission of the Past-Presidents Committee is to increase the involvement of professional, specialty-facility, and government-services FMs in Chapter activities.
Professional Development
The mission of the Professional Development Committee is to ensure that there is a population of competent, certified (or preparing to be certified) facility managers to meet existing and future facility management needs in the area represented by the Chapter.

Programs
The mission of Programs Committee is to provide FM educational and networking opportunities for Chapter members. Valuable educational events for Professional members are at the heart of our programs and will be provided a minimum of six times a year. The mission of the Special Events Committee is to provide unique networking and social opportunities for Chapter members. Special events include the annual Fundraiser, Golf Outings and Chapter Awards Banquet. These events offer FMs the opportunity to network with peers in a relaxed environment.
