Communications Team
The mission of the Communications Team is to provide forums for chapter members to share best practices, ask questions and receive valuable information. This is done through the chapter web site, print newsletter, and local publications.
The Communications Team creates the theme and content for our bi-monthly newsletter, Capital News. This is a publication of the Capital Chapter and one of the main conduits to informing our membership about current trends in the industry as well as what's happening within the Chapter. Each publishing cycle requires the team to research current trends and call upon our membership for articles to share thier knowledge. We also interview new CFM's and FMP's to get thier view on why they decided to get certified, and how it has changed thier professional career. These initiatives provide our team members with the opportunity to meet a large niumber of our members.
In addition to the newsletter, the Communications Team is responsible for photographing each event. This ensures the Chapter has an active catalog of photographs of its members and events, as well as allowing the Chapter to document its activity on the website. No matter what people say, they love seeing themselves in pictures.
