Community Service Team
The mission of the Community Service Team is to develop relationships with organizations in the local area who could benefit from the assistance of the Capital Chapter. This assistance comes in the form of fundraisers, scholarships and special events to raise awareness and get local facility managers more involved in the community.
Strategic Partnership with Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC):
In 2010, the Capital Chapter of IFMA partnered with Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC) to provide home renovation services to a low-income family on Spring Rebuild Day which was held April 24, 2010. We formed the partnership knowing chapter members' skills and interests are a good match with those needd to support RTMC's mission. The project was a huge success - thanks to all chapter members, family and friends who helped!
Working with So Others May Eat (SOME/CET):
In addition, we have established a partnership with So Other May Eat (SOME/CET) in the District of Columbia.
New Partnership Opportunities:
In the coming year, we hope to establish a partnership with a non-profit organization providing needed services to individuals and families living in Northern Virginia. If you know of an organization and are interested in helping to forge that relationship, our Team will provide all the support you need!
